Greyhound racing in Australia sees the death of over 17, 000 greyhounds every year.

The industry is infamous for high euthanasia rates, with more than 90% of dogs being killed every year. Greyhounds that are said to breach racing regulations or are too slow for the Australian tracks, but are otherwise healthy are slaughtered behind the tracks.

Racing animals, just for the sport is cruel and unethical, and it shouldn't be practised in the first place.
