ATTEND THE BOARD MEETING ON APRIL 4th

WE MUST ACT NOW ATTEND THE SOQUEL CREEK WATER DIST. BOARD MEETING ON APRIL 4th Hi Neighbors , We need to STAND TOGETHER and SHOW UP again at the next Soquel Creek Water Board District Meeting!! The Board Members and Staff need to see that the Soquel Neighborhood Community is in Opposition to either and/or both of the 2 Heavy Industrial Waste Water Treatment Facilities being located here in our Residential Neighborhood. (“West Annex Sites”). WHY THIS 4/4 MEETING IS SO IMPORTANT: After District Staff gives revised “Site Re-evaluation Report for AWPF only”, (Advanced Water Purification Facility only), under Agenda item 6.2, we need to call upon the District Board to take our inappropriate Highly Residential LOCATION “off the table” for any type of AWPF Facility and choose more appropriate Industrial/Commercial Locations such as 1) Santa Cruz City WWTF, 2) South Rodeo Gulch. 3) 2435 41st Ave., 4) 2505 Chanticleer Ave etc. SQCWD Board Meeting: WHEN: this Tuesday, April 4th @ 6:00 PM (be sure to arrive earlier by 5:45) LOCATION: Capitola City Council Chambers, 420 Capitola Ave., Capitola (where the Capitola Police Station is, ground floor thru glass doors) Speaking before the Board: If you want to speak and/or 2) Read a Letter for 2 minutes, you may do so: 1) Issues not on the Agenda at “Oral Communications” 2) If issue is on the Agenda, can do so when that Agenda item is addressed during meeting. WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO ATTEND THESE MEETINGS: In taking a stand to protect our neighborhood's quality of life, we must become a visible, vocal, unified force to be reckoned with. The best, most effective way to do this is through attending water district board meetings, twice each month, 1st & 3rd Tuesday nights @ 6PM. District water Board Members must see our physical presence and look at the faces of a unified group of human beings, standing together against their plans to encroach upon our Soquel Residential Neighborhood we have each invested our lives in. They must understand that they will not be allowed to push through their plans for either and/or both of the 2 Heavy Industrial Wastewater Treatment Facilities at the “West Annex Site” (on lot they already own and those that they have recently acquired at Soquel Dr. /Capitola Ave. /Rosedale Ave). These meetings are videotaped, and shown on television. These Meetings/Video can be viewed on SQCWD Website, as well as Comunitytv.org (Comcast Ch. 26) or check with your provider. The extended community will become informed about this, and more support will come our way as a result of our efforts to show up at these meetings. We encourage carpooling. The greatest benefit of grass roots movements is getting to know our neighbors, and working cooperatively together for the greater good of our community. Look forward to seeing you there!!
