We have been doing everything we can to try to get the attention of Premier Doug Ford.

Just slowly resuming some cancer surgeries is not enough. There is a critical backlog that needs to be cleared. Life-saving surgeries are still being categorized as elective/ non-urgent. This is unacceptable as we all know cancer does not wait and is absolutely urgent. 

Patients and doctors continue to advocate and fight for surgeries because they understand the urgency. We shouldn’t have to do this.

I know it’s not just my family experiencing the extreme stress and fear of waiting for a critical cancer surgery. Recently I’ve connected with other petition starters in Ontario who are also waiting for their surgeries. Together we have over 55,000 signatures.

None of us should have to wait. None of us should have to advocate for surgery while we are exhausted from cancer treatments. 

We need your help to put the pressure on and make government decision makers see that cancer surgeries can not wait. If you could take 10 minutes to contact your MPP that would be an incredibly helpful step you could take today. If all 55,000 of us call our MPPs we can not be ignored.
