Hi everyone!

First off I want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has signed and shared this petition. When I originally started this months ago I never imagined this was the kind of response we would get. Through this journey I have met so many incredible people, survivors of cervical cancer, amazing healthcare professionals, and countless young people like me who are wanting to take control of their sexual health. If you are one of those people who reached out to me with your story, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are what is keeping us motivated to keep pushing this forward every day.

I have gotten a lot of questions over the past few months about what our next steps are and what the future holds, so I’m happy to say that I have partnered with Kirsten Krose at SWON Public Affairs who has been working diligently behind the scenes to help push this initiative forward. With her help we have started a campaign called Make HPV Vaccine Free For Me, which is focused on making the HPV vaccine affordable and accessible for young people in Ontario.  

In the coming months we will be ramping up our efforts and promoting our cause, so stay tuned for updates! In the meantime however, there is a way you can help. If you have been impacted by HPV, whether through an HPV infection that lead to health related issues, or you simply could not afford the HPV vaccine, we want to hear from you. Your stories and first hand experiences will help us bolster our efforts with government and help to strengthen our petition. Personal details and information will be kept completely confidential.
