On August 13th, announcement from Minister of Education, Stephen Lecce who 'unlocks' $500M to improve distancing, ventilation for back-to-school".

To be clear Stephen Lecce and Premier Doug Ford are NOT providing $500M in funding they are letting school boards access reserve funds that already belong to the boards & are largely designated for other important needs. The Ontario Government is still refusing to reduce class sizes and implement a safe Education plan based on the evidence & advice of experts.

Stephen Lecce and Doug Ford have just allowed/passed the buck/forced School Boards to spend their reserve funds. What if there isn't enough in reserves? Do all boards have a reserve? Why is the Ontario Government refusing to reduce class sizes? 

There are only days before the start of school and children, education staff and their families are still at risk.  Sign and share the petition and contact your Ontario MPP and demand that they ensure a #SafeSeptember #BacktoSchool2020.
