First of let me say thank you to all of you. Your words of encouragement have meant so much to me. Words cannot possibly convey how grateful I am for each and every one of you. You, my family, and my friends provide me with the courage and strength I need to keep fighting. I was approached by a wonderful friend (thank you Kellie) who spoke to me of starting a charity. At first I was unsure, but after I prayed about it, and spoke with my family, we agreed that this was the right step to take. We are starting a charity in honor of my son called The JEM Foundation. His initials were J.E.M. and he absolutely loved airplanes; we made sure to incorporate planes into the logo. I wanted to share the news with you because you have been such an important part of my life. We are still fighting for law changes, (that will not cease) but now we will be able to do more to help those struggling with mental illness, and loved ones caring for someone with mental health issues. We have submitted the paperwork, and are now just awaiting approval.
