CNN is reporting that the Congressional Budget Office analysis of the GOP bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act has had a "devastating" impact and "rattled" House Republicans. Republicans are scurrying after the CBO report predicted that 24 million people would lose coverage under Trump care. The CBO report says that Trump care would take away $1 trillion from programs targeting working families to pay for a $800 billion tax cut for the wealthy. They also say it would nearly double the number of uninsured in America. That means more than eight percent of the entire population of the United States would lose coverage -- all from ONE BILL! The good news: moderate and right-wing Republicans alike are now saying that the GOP plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act is in serious trouble. So we're planning to turn up the pressure. The protests that members of Congress have seen so far at their town halls are just the beginning. We're ramping things up by hiring organizers in key districts and supporting all-day protests at the offices of Republicans who support repeal of the Affordable Care Act.
