Though the Legalization of Ranch was decided, vaguely, in the Supreme Court decision, Ranch V Board of Salad Dressings, this 1961 decision has allowed state-sanctioned salad inspectors to decide the availability of ranch dressing according to location and economic feasibility. In many cities, for instance, there are large swaths of the population that cannot find any ranch - these are referred to as urban ranch deserts. This is unjust and unfair. With this petition, we urge the Executive Branch to condemn federal protocols and stop the Food and Drug Administration from enforcing ill-informed and sadistic regulations on the Ranch industry. Everyone has a right to ranch.
