My name is Alexandra, and I'm on the Civic Engagement team at Change.org. Our team works to connect petition starters and supporters with the public officials who have the power to act on the issues you care about. One of the ways we do this is to contact decision makers directly from our platform.

We spoke with a public affairs official from the office of Council Member Christopher Marte (District 1) about the request for a crosswalk in the Seaport school zone. They confirmed that this issue is now on their radar and is something the office can assist with, since the Council has a relationship with the Department of Transportation (DOT), which is responsible for installing crosswalks.
