Don't Waste Idaho
Jun 12, 2018
Good Day,
Don't Waste Idaho made a dynamic appearance in Twin Falls, ID on June 8. Local citizens rallied in opposition to nuclear waste shipments traveling by truck and rail through Twin Falls. City Councilperson Chris Talkington and local farmer James Reed addressed the gathering encouraging everyone to sign the petition and spread the word. A front page story appeared in the Twin Falls Times News and the local television station also aired a great story. You can view it here: http://www.kmvt.com/content/news/Magic-Valley-leaders-and-residents-say-no-to-stranded-nuclear-waste--485073591.html
The Radioactive Waste Roadshow, our display of mock nuclear waste barrels, attracted lots of attention. The Roadshow will be at the Caldwell Farmers Market on Wednesday, June 13 from 3-7 pm. Volunteers will be talking to people about the issue and gathering more signatures on the petition.
You can help us meet our goals by encouraging your friends to sign the Don't Waste Idaho petition at www.dontwasteidaho.com
Would you like to get more involved? Help us gather signatures at community events? Write a letter to the editor? Meet with elected officials? We'd love to have you on our team. Please sign up to volunteer at www.dontwasteidaho.com.
Thank you for taking action to protect Idaho from nuclear waste.
Sincerely,
Wendy Wilson
Executive Director
