This outdoor sanctuary is in the heart of the natural waterflow that was once a finger of the Lynnhaven River. It was dammed by farmers that used to own the land and was named Lake Conrad 2 of the Great Neck Lakes system and used as part of the stormwater system off Great Neck Road for 7 decades.  Residents of the adjacent neighborhood have walked the trails around the lake, crossed over Red Bridge while visiting neighbors, and recreated with their kids here. This sanctuary has been a place of solitude for those of the Spirit. For decades this property served the special needs community first as Helping Hands Day Camp and then as the Infant Stim/Early Intervention Center.
