Sept 11x 85? Are 255,524 lives REALLY at risk?
MODIFIED HYDROFLUORIC ACID RISKGardena, CA, Stati Uniti

14 years after the 9/11 attacks, we hope we're doing all we can to avoid catastrophic loss of life in the United States. But are we?
In an analysis done for the EPA, ExxonMobil studied the expected effects of a 5,200 lb leak of MHF at their Torrance refinery. In their own scenario, short-term exposure was life threatening within 2 miles; within 3.2 miles they expect irreversible health damage.
So exactly, how much MHF is stored at the Torrance Refinery? The answer- 250,000 lbs; 48 times higher than the lethal scenarios above!
And how did ExxonMobil handle the MHF leak emergency on 9/6/15? They EMAILED the Torrance Fire Dept 30 minutes after the accident.
The question again: ARE we doing enough to avoid catastrophic loss of life in Torrance and the surrounding communities?
If your answer is NO and you find this risk to your family, business or community UNACCEPTABLE, join the growing number of concerned citizens at the Torrance Refinery Action Alliance. Their next meeting
