The final 24-hour countdown has begun.
⏰ The Richmond Council planning portal closes in exactly 24 hours tomorrow - Thursday 27th August 2026 and if you live on one of the roads or streets nearest the stadium, your objection carries the absolute heaviest legal weight.
If you live on any of the roads most directly impacted by the activities at the stadium, I need you to hear this clearly: the council’s planners look most closely at the people whose front doors, pavements, and driveways are directly choked by these events. Your objections matter the most.
🎯 We intend to submit this petition to LBRUT council as over 4000 people have now signed to say no to these expansion plans - but your individual voices count on the council website and it’s incredibly important that you make your objections in writing today!
The stadium's legal team can try to brush aside opinions from further away, but they cannot ignore the frontline residents who are trapped by the gridlock their events cause.

To make it as easy as possible right now, here are the core frontline issues you can type into the portal in your own simple words:
- Blocked front gates and driveways: Event days mean cars and vans gridlocked right outside our homes, making it impossible to pull out, park, or get home from work.
- Toxic exhaust fumes on the doorstep: Standing traffic with engines left idling fills our front gardens and open windows with choking fumes on hot summer nights.
- Pavements too narrow to cope: Crowds for a 75,000-person event completely overflow our narrow footways, making it impossible for anyone to get around on event days leaving disabled and vulnerable elderly neighbours trapped in their homes.
- Ambulances stuck in the crush: Total road paralysis on our immediate streets means emergency vehicles and ambulances cannot get through to reach local families.
- Late-night noise and anti-social behaviour : Loud crowds spilling out past 10:30 PM leave behind broken glass, rubbish and discarded food in our hedges, and people using our walls and gardens as toilets.
