A few weeks ago, Donald Trump officially cut over $1.1 billion in public broadcasting funding – money that helps fund networks such as PBS and NPR. 

I’ll admit, when I posted my most recent update, I, like many of you, felt defeated. 

Then, I picked up Bernie Sanders’ book, “Our Revolution.” You don’t have to be a Sanders supporter to find his words and ideas powerful, but something he wrote, repeatedly, was that politics should work from the people up– not the other way around. This sparked a new hope in me. My hope, with this petition, is not to give up and close it. My hope is to spark more people to sign it and take it all the way to the top. I want to offer the remarks that not only I have made, but hundreds of you have made when signing this petition.

So, I ask that you do not give up. Do not lose hope. Roll up your sleeves. Share this petition. Share it online, in person, or through any other means, and let's show our government what we, the people, want.
