Dear friends and supporters,

We wanted to update you on an important development regarding the Quarterlands planning application (LA05/2022/0033/F).

Despite expectations, the application will not appear on the agenda for the Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Planning Committee meeting on August 4th, 2025.

We know many of you had planned to attend, and several community members had generously agreed to speak on behalf of the Quarterlands Group. We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support and commitment.

We have now written to the planners and the Council to ask:

Why the case has been withdrawn or deferred
Who made this decision and on what grounds
What the current status of the application is
That we be kept informed of any and all developments
Transparency and public accountability are essential in a matter of such importance to our community, and we will continue to push for both.

As soon as we receive a response or any further information, we will share it with you.
