It was a long summer of research and writing. Being a group entirely new to this process it has been an eye-opening one. We all wrote objection letters as soon as we could as initially we were give a week to object. After that we looked into the bits that concerned or puzzled us. As we did so more and more aspects of planning and infrastructure in this area came to concern us. The upshot has been that we have written an extensive document and a set of questions that we have submitted to the planners. You can see the documents on the quarterlands.com website.
We met with the planners who made it clear that that all challenges to the development must be made on the grounds of ‘planning law’ or with ‘professional expertise’ the upshot of which is we are left with a problem – without specialist knowledge or financial assistance, how do we bridge the gap between our clear understanding of where and how we live, and the required depiction of issues needed to explain our position within ‘planning law’?
Anyway we continue to read SPPS documents and to seek and talk to wiser heads who are gradually being gathered.
Do download the documents for a little light reading :-) We'd be interested in any help or advice you can give.
