We have done it! I can now present the petition to Camden Council and force them to discuss this issue and make a presentation to them. At the risk of sounding like an Oscar winner, there really is a few people I have to mention because without them this wouldn't have happened. Firstly Dave Renegade for setting up the campaign, Jane Palm-Gold for her invaluable help on the history of Denmark Street, Matt Gaffen for getting involved and helping with the IT, Henry Scott-Irvine for tweeting like a demon and creating much needed publicity for the campaign and last (but by no means least) each and every person who has signed, shared, tweeted, posted and just generally supported the campaign. To (badly) quote Churchill, this isn't the end, this isn't even the beginning of the end, but it is the end of the beginning - watch this space there is (lots) more to come!
