He used to park his American World War Two period Military Ambulance outside the Gioconda Cafe where he regularly met-up with Marc Bolan and The Pretty Things for breakfast before the Traffic Wardens appeared at 9am. David also worked as a runner/teaboy at Southern Music at 9 Denmark St beneath Central Sound Studios where producer Tony Visconti undertook some early production work, too. More info at the link below
