Outrageously the National Rifle Association will hold its "National Leadership Forum" in Houston, Texas just days after the latest gun massacre of children.  Given its record the NRA will likely ask for "thoughts and prayers" for the dead while calling for an even greater flood of firearms across the U.S.   

The NRA not only opposes any sensible regulations on guns, but it is infamous for its hysterical radical-right rhetoric full of conspiracy peddling, fear-mongering and red-baiting.  An article on Salon properly had the title “NRA laid the groundwork for deadly Capitol riot for years, say gun control advocates”

An entertainer scheduled for the NRA Forum is Don McLean, loved for his wonderful songs "American Pie" and "Vincent", and a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame. We ask McLean to honor the memory of those killed at Uvalde killings by refusing to perform for the NRA.
