I married a Turkish national in 2005. We met in Iraq where his company, Yuksel Insaat - Ankara Turkiye, was contracted by  an American contractor to build T walls and small buildings on Balad, 'Anaconda' Air Force Base.  We were married in Turkiye and had a home there in which I invested thousands of dollars as, well as my new husband. But things did not last. We have two sons, right now they are 10 and 12. I have never received a single dollar of child support, regardless of court orders signed and agreed to by my ex-husband Bilal Bulent Gulcek. Since his departure from Washington state in the summer of 2007, he has worked again for Yuksel and again under American contracts making American dollars and never once sending any form of support for his sons.  We have an international agreement with 26 other countries to enforce child support. I ask that we no longer allow countries that do not have this agreement to earn American dollars. Period. My ex-husband Bilal Bulent Gulcek does not, not pay because he has no means or because Turkiye is a poorer country. In fact he  and his family own buildings and he could also simply return the thousands of dollars I put into making our home there in Bornova, on remodel and furniture that he and his new wife and daughters now have or sold and enjoyed the money from. He is a hard worker and a supervisor. He is intelligent and capable, he simply chooses to do absolutely nothing for his two sons in America. As a mom I MUST do what I can to make this right by my children. And for all parents out there on both sides that are custodial and suffering.
