That’s what a taxpayer-funded primate experimenter told Science Magazine. 

Allow me to translate: 'We'll never give them back. Even elderly, arthritic animals should be sent back for lucrative experiments!' 

Their logic is simple: more experiments = more $$$ in the pockets of greedy and cruel gov't bureaucrats.
