Hello everyone!

The members of this project want to sincerely thank everyone who has signed the petition so far. In just one short day we have already reached a base goal of 100 signatures! Please continue spreading the word about this petition, and encourage others to tell Doane that we want a Title IX Coordinator!

If you are planning on attending the in-person protest at Doane University on November 14th at 10:00am, please bring as many voices to show your support, and receive an educational background on Title IX and why this is imperative for our university.

Doane has sent an email to the members of this project to inform us that on December 5th, a new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Specialist, Wendy Hunt, will take position, and that this should satisfy our need for a Title IX Coordinator. However, it doesn’t.

Wendy Hunt, while incredibly qualified for the job, is not a Title IX Director first and foremost. We want someone who will be solely responsible for upholding the values and policies around Title IX—not another person who has it tacked onto the end of their responsibility chain.

With your support, we will be able to show Doane that this role needs to be taken seriously and that we want a dedicated Coordinator, and we Need. Them. Now.

Thank you for your support and joining us in the discussion,
