Give Pain a Voice
9 февр. 2016 г.
WOO HOO ! You helped us reach our PHASE #1 goal of 100 signatures to deliver to the Minister of Long Term Care and the Health Minister, along with ground- breaking surveys we completed the last several months. Through our conjoined efforts ,we were able to reach Pain Patients from all sectors of society and ask them what WAS MISSING and what WAS URGENT in their current healthcare. You identified that Chronic Pain Patients are disrespected, disbelieved, alienated and even widely discriminated against for their disease. 1 in 4 Canadians and Americans report they live in Chronic pain that will in all probability, not resolve in their lifetime. By 2020, aging Boomers will push this figure to 1 in 3. It is only through timely intervention and remedial action to this epidemic of PAIN, that we can hope for unfettered access to the Pain Care management we need as we age, and as more and more people succumb to this horrible disease which served to weaken the very fabric of Canadian society as a whole.
