WOAH! This petition got more support than I expected! I lost faith in humanity when I first wrote this. I thought "Hmm.. I'll write this petition and see if the horror film adaption stops, but I bet so many people will still support this horror film adaption and boycott my petition. Barely anyone will support this! Shame!" After I posted it, I ignored it for a few months and moved on. Today, I decided to check (just in case) and behold! 21 signatures isn't much but it's better than nothing! I'm so happy to see there are still true ladies and gentlemen out there willing to protect the legacy of Felix Salten and Walt Disney. This got more signatures than I originally thought it would. Thank you all so much.
Of course 21 signatures (as of writing this) is not enough. This may sound like a lot, but I really want this petition to get 5,000 signatures. When it does, I'll send this to ITV Studios and Scott Jeffrey. I'm also wondering if there are any relatives of Felix Salten who I or someone else could contact so they can express their opinions and share as to whether Felix would've liked this or not. I have a strong feeling Felix wouldn't have, but it would be nice to hear from his family anyway. Sadly, I cannot speak German (as German is the main language of Austria) but if anyone does it would be wonderful to contact them.
To help give more attention to this petition and make it reach a number of 5,000 signatures, I want to ask you all a small favour. Could each and every one of you signers please donate $3 (just $3, that's all) to help this get distributed? That would be really appreciated. Once this gets just a bit more attention, I may also contact a children's media protection organisation (yes, such organisations exist) and tell them about the horror film so they too can stand up against it.
Finally, someone in the comment section has suggested to me to share these petitions and bring attention to them. Please go and sign these too, they are all in regards to horror film adaptions of children's media as well.
