Dear supporter of the petition for Yuliya Stepanova, with your support we were able to keep the topic Doping alive during the Olympic Games in Rio and to support the whistleblowers Yuliya and Vitaly Stepanov. I'm happy to inform you that they are well despite of the fact that they live in a non-public place to maintain their security. This year the FIFA World Cup takes place in Russia and again we have a relevant topic to discuss. On last Friday it was published that Hajo Seppelt's request to apply for a Russian visa has been rejected. Hajo Seppelt was one of the most important journalist to uncover the Russian doping system. It is quite obvious that this is a try to get rid of an uncomfortable investigative journalist. In my opinion this is a massive impediment for the freedom of press. It is absolutely necessary that the FIFA now takes a clear position and takes all necessary actions. I've opened a new petition for that on change.org and I would be happy to have your support in that case, too.
