Hello!

Thank you all for supporting this petition to not appeal Measure T Ruling and re-instate the prior VHR ordinance.  Important:  Many folks did not see the option to add a public comment to the petition, and you are able to go back and do so even after signing.  It's not the easiest to find naturally, but only takes a minute and instructions are below if you wish to do so: 

1) Visit change.org, and sign in with same email you used to initially sign the petition. 

2) Under Person Icon menu in top right, click and select "My Petitions" from drop down menu. 

3) On next page, click "Signed", which will show this Petition in a large box.  Click the petition.

4) On Next page, click the red button on right side of page  "Take the next step" (shown just below the number of current signers). 

5) On this page, the pesky platform Prompts you for a donation which is NOT needed and does NOT go to us.  Instead, click the "No, I'll share instead" box towards bottom left of page. 

6) This next page gives you options for sharing, which please do if you'd like, otherwise scroll down and select "Skip for now" at bottom of page. 

7)  Now you will finally be on the page where it allows you to "Record a video message" or "Write a comment".  Click "Write a comment".

8) This will take you to page with a box to write your comment, then when done click "Add your voice", which will then publish your valuable input on the petition along with your first name.

Whether you are a local business owner or worker who relies on tourism, a homeowner who values property rights, or a visitor who expects private accommodations for your group travels - sharing your reasoning can greatly strengthen this petition's voice.

You can send in Public Comment to City Council by 3PM today, 3/31 by emailing publiccomment@cityofslt.us.  You can also speak in person or remotely via Zoom at Tuesday's 4/1/25 5:30PM Council Meeting.  Agenda and instructions here for public participation.
