On receiving the petition, the DM, Mr. Shravan Kumar promised that he will write to the District Judge and the Public Prosecutor and will ensure speedy trial of the case. He said that Chanchal's statement will be recorded under section 164 by the Police. He added, "I'll tell the Senior Superintendent of Police to constitute the medical board for an age test of the accused who is shown as a minor.
