Thank you so much for signing the original petition calling on Essex County Council to divest public pension funds from companies complicit in the oppression of Palestinians.

Since launching that petition, the situation in Gaza has become even more devastating — and even more urgent. At the same time, it’s clear that securing divestment will require sustained pressure, greater coordination, and deeper community support.

That’s why I’ve now joined forces with others across Essex and beyond to build a stronger, united campaign under the name Essex Divest For Palestine. Together, we’ve launched a new petition — one that reflects this broader coalition and gives us a better chance of being heard.
