PROGRESS UPDATE

At this time, almost 700 supporters for our petition! Many more than I ever thought I would get and many more than the seats sold for the show! Thank you immensely for your support! Columbians and many other citizens of the world really care about this issue! Interviews with KOMU and PETA in Washington, D.C. today, plus talking city ordinance with several interested parties and politicians, and the Humane Society of D.C. Unfortunately, the University of Missouri is taking no responsibility for this show, saying we should have contacted the entertainer for cancellation. That is ludicrous! The University rented out the theater, they are selling the tickets on their website, and fully biling this event as one of their own, including doing all the marketing for it. The University's spokerperson also mentioned accepting all events on campus as they do not discriminate. Discrimination would be denying same-sex marriage on campus. There are well-defined animal cruelty procedures, and all of them go hand-in-hand with anti-discrimination laws. If they want to enforce non-discrimination, they are doing this backwards. We'll make something good out of this, in an orderly manner.
