Dear friends!

I am very excited to close this petition and declare its victory. As you probably know by now, on the 7th of September Oleg Sentsov and 34 other Ukrainian prisoners have come back home to Ukraine. Now they are reunited with their friends and families.

This happy news is a great victory. And this victory was made possible by all of you – by more than 200,000 people. You were signing this petition, going out to protests and pickets, appealing to the politicians in your countries.

Oleg was arrested in 2014, and the five years that he had spent in prison and the 145 days of his hunger strike when we all had been so worried about him, cannot be returned to him and his relatives. But what matters now is that he is free.

Congratulations to Oleg and the other released on their return.
