Over 40,000 people have signed this petition in just three days. Thank you to everyone who has put their name to our campaign. Together, we can keep phones in the hands of asylum seekers, and keep holding Dutton and his Border Force staff to account.
I must also say a huge thank you to the people of Biloela who have gotten behind this campaign. Check out the video they made over the weekend. Without her mobile phone, Priya wouldn’t have been able to show the world the moment Peter Dutton tried to deport her young family.
This is precisely the sort of thing that Peter Dutton will be able to keep from the Australian public if this new legislation is passed. But the National Justice Project stopped Dutton from doing this before, and now with 40,000 of you behind us I know we can do it again.
