Petition update#DialitDownDutton. Don’t take away asylum seekers’ phones!40,000 signatures and a special message from Biloela
National Justice Project
17 May 2020

Over 40,000 people have signed this petition in just three days. Thank you to everyone who has put their name to our campaign. Together, we can keep phones in the hands of asylum seekers, and keep holding Dutton and his Border Force staff to account.

Can you help me send a message to Peter Dutton by sharing this petition? These petitions grow up to 5x faster when people share them, and we don't have a lot of time.

I must also say a huge thank you to the people of Biloela who have gotten behind this campaign. Check out the video they made over the weekend. Without her mobile phone, Priya wouldn’t have been able to show the world the moment Peter Dutton tried to deport her young family.

This is precisely the sort of thing that Peter Dutton will be able to keep from the Australian public if this new legislation is passed. But the National Justice Project stopped Dutton from doing this before, and now with 40,000 of you behind us I know we can do it again.

Will you help us stop Dutton snatching the phones out of the hands of asylum seekers? Click here to share this petition.
