1) MAHARERA makes it mandatory for Builders to list all the estate agents who will sell their project with MAHARERA. This amounts to restrictive trade practice and will help only corporate brokerage companies. Once an Estate Agent is registered with MAHARERA he/she should be able to practise business all over maharashtra without any further compliance.

2) As individual and the proprietary firm have one and the same pan number and their is no provision in law to register proprietary. So in all aspects individual and proprietary firm is one and the same. However,  MAHARERA differentiate between these two and proprietorship firm needs to pay Rs.1 Lac, which is at par with fees payable by even corporate brokerage companies.  This is unjust for small business and we appeal to treat propritorship firms at pat with individuals and charged fees of Rs. Ten thousand.
