In Florida, there have been several e-bike fatalities reported, particularly in recent months. These incidents have sparked concerns about safety and prompted calls for increased awareness and regulations.  

Specific Incidents and Reported Deaths:

• A tragic e-bike accident in Jupiter led to the death of a boy and injuries to another, prompting a community forum to discuss safety.  
• Four e-bike-related deaths have occurred in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast in just the past week.  
• Rico Roundtree, a 12-year-old boy, died after his e-bike collided with a vehicle in Jupiter.  
• Clayton Miller, a 14-year-old, was killed by a car while riding his e-bike in a North Naples neighborhood.  
• A man was struck and killed by an SUV in Okeechobee County while riding his e-bike.  
• A man riding an e-bike was killed in a crash near Stuart.  
• A woman died after being hit while on her e-bike in Jacksonville.  
• A 12-year-old boy in St. Johns County was hospitalized after an e-bike crash.
