my name is Mahesh R.first up all I remind you one thing that elephant is an endangered species.yes the main reasons are ivory trade and deforestation.In Kerala most of every temple use elephants in festivals there are hundreds of elephants under Devasom board .they are not cared well even there is vivid rules for protection no one is talking action .in rule there is only three elephants can use at a time in festivals.but here 20 -30 elephants are using at a time there is no right for selling or buying elephants but still coming of new elephants it's really bad news that 11 elephants where brutally died .and 9 elephants where brutally injured.as the rate of WWF 100 elephants were poaching in every 2,3 days world over including Asian elephants .the elephants in forest never had seen eating palm leaves .the food we are giving is not their natural food .in forest there is great role of elephants it has great ecological important

I kindly request you to sign the petition to reduce the count of elephants used in festivals.and to stop cruelty against them Devasom board and forest department should change their way
