On August 26th, we received an official letter from Attorney General Anne Milgram regarding the DEA’s proposed rule for the scheduling of marijuana.
Today, August 29th, the proposed rule hearing notice was officially posted in the Federal Register. We now have until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on September 30, 2024, to sign up to participate in the hearing. Let’s ensure our voices are heard! Proposed Rule Hearing Document

Rally and Spark A Change
We are organizing a rally outside the DEA hearing on December 2, 2024, at 700 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA, with the help and support of our community. This rally is part of our broader initiative, Spark A Change, aiming to set a world record for the most people going live and sparking up cannabis at the same time to inspire positive change. Our focus will be on advocating for the descheduling of cannabis, fighting against censorship, and pushing for justice and acknowledgment of cannabis benefits.
If you can’t attend in person, join us virtually by going live from your phone at home or wherever you are. We want everyone’s participation, whether physically present or online. This is how you can help make a significant impact:
- Go Live on December 2 at 4:20 p.m. in your time zone: Join the collective effort by sparking up and speaking about descheduling cannabis, freedom of expression, truth, and our collective movement against censorship.
- Record and Document Your Participation: Capturing this historic moment is essential. Take a screenshot or screen record your live participation and send it to @CannabisWorldRecords.Official on Instagram. This documentation will help us set a Cannabis World Record, showcasing our unity and strength in numbers.

How We Can Make It Happen
We need volunteers to help with logistics, such as setting up areas for speakers, distributing informational materials, and coordinating with attendees. We are also reaching out to secure any necessary permits to ensure the rally runs smoothly and legally.
