City Hall Discussion Results

Dear supporters, We are very disappointed to inform you that our petition has been turned down by our city officials last night. A BIG thank you to all the supporters who signed our petition, to all the supporters who attended the meeting, to the supporters who expressed their interest in raising backyard hens in Des Plaines and to our speakers Mr. Ed Fuhrmann and Ms. Jennifer Murtoff. Thanks to our Mayor Mr. Matthew Bogusz for being favorable to exploring the possibilities of allowing backyard hens in Des Plaines and our thanks to Ms. Denise Rodd, 3rd Ward Alderman for supporting us and standing by our side. We do appreciate how open minded you both are. It's an honor to have you representing us in our city. We will not give up. We will change the ordinance one day in the near future! One day hopefully we will raise hens in the city of Des Plaines. May God bless you all.
