Hello! I hope you all are doing well!
Today, I just wanted to write a short update to assure you I am still doing everything I possibly can to get this petition across to more people. This also includes me posting handouts through letterboxes (which funnily ended with me reuniting a lost dog with his rightful owner- see I'm a real problem solver). Despite this and the brilliant number of supporters we have, I know that the number has been the same for quite some time. I just want you all to know that I will continue this petition for as long as it takes and over time, I know the amount of supporters will increase.
Anyway, I thought it would be cute to share some of the comments/reasons people have signed present on our petition page because I know many of you have probably not read them. I just want to thank everyone who has left comments and know that I have read and hearted them all. I do believe your comments help push this matter even more to those in charge of Derby College. Thank you so much.

- Steph Byrne: I was a student at JWC two years ago, and all my teachers were the most helpful, formative people I ever could've experienced. They not only teach, they support and help their students grow as people. I'm still carrying the lessons they taught me today, and they deserve more. More respect. More appreciation. So much more. They've inspired me to follow my teaching career, and the teachers at JWC should be rewarded for all the great impacts they've had on their students!
- Nikki Bee: Signing because my brother who works at Derby college as a highly qualified lecturer has had 1 pay rise in 7 years. Ask yourself whether Ms Stravino and other directors have had the same? Staff are treated like dirt. They deserve so much better, not a cut in living standards.
- Debbie Hartshorn: This [Fair Pay for Teachers] will have an impact on future recruitment.
- Alison Fowler: Teachers deserve fair pay. Simple.
