The message I included in my email is below: Dear Deputy Police Chief Ramer and Police Chief Saunders: I have attached a petition with more than 1,000 signatures urging the restoration of Parking Enforcement Officer Kyle Ashley to his role on the streets ticketing vehicles parked illegally in the bike lanes of Toronto. While it is clearly a large scale effort on the part of the Toronto Police Services to enforce order on the streets, PEO Ashley's efforts made the real difference in keeping the bike lanes clear. This week, during springlike weather, the bike lanes are once again congested, sidewalks parked upon and traffic lanes blocked by illegal vehicles. The petition was originally addressed to Deputy Police Chief Ramer since Police Chief Saunders was on leave.
