Boracay Island is an island blessed with the most beautiful beaches in the world and a wonderful tropical climate almost all-year round. Its main attraction is the 4.5 kilometer long White Beach and the enthralling crystal blue sea, gather a million tourists from all over the globe every year.

Despite of the beauty of this island, there is a major problem that runs through this island and it’s waters, and it is the management of the wastes.

Management of wastes is the major problem in the island of boracay,  due to the lack of strict implementation and monitoring, the solid waste problem has become worse.

The waste problem in boracay is very alarming, because wastes brings toxic substances into the seas that will devastate our natural resources that we use in our daily lives, also Boracay Island needs to be saved with long term solutions that will keep it sustainable and preserved for the current and next generation of locals and tourists.
