Ever since the Erasmia Police has been evicted from the previous rented building, they have been moved into the very cramped Investigations division building. The building was not constructed to keep the number of police officers required to police most of the South Western Side of the City of Tshwane, stretching from Malibonwge Rd (Lanseria Airport) along the N14 East towards and along the R55N to the M26 (Erasmia). The area covers the greater area of Erasmia, Sunderlandridge, Gerardsville, Laezonia, Doornrandtjies, Mooiplaas Informal Settlement and Knoppieslaagte. Most of which is rural farmland.

To cover this area the South African Police Services require a large and efficient building to operate from. The building should be large enough to house all the required staff and have adequate room for any offenders caught.

For the last few years, there has been some building at the site of the new Police Station, located on the Genl Pienaar Circle in Erasmia. But the building site is left to wind and rain for over a year now.

We petition the Division of Public Works and the City of Tshwane to urgently complete the building so that SAPS can move in and continue the work they are doing.
