We are fast approaching 1000, with your continued support in sharing and spreading this petition, we demonstrate to the decision makers and elected officials, that their actions as public servants, are being watched. We suggest that you make an appointment with your congressional/senate representative for the purpose of expressing your concerns. The horrible treatment of Ryan Bundy and others is made possible by a law passed by congress, the Bail Reform Act. Congress reformed bail law to make it easier for judges to throw people in jail prior to trial, effectively destroying a presumption of innocence gained after centuries of struggle. Congress needs to repeal that law and give us back the right to bail, a constitutional right. Anna Brown, Gloria Navarro and Robert Jones, have placed the Bundys, et al in prison where they are at the mercy of brutal deputies and marshalls, where they can't adequately prepare for trial, where they are broken and demoralized to force them to plea bargain. Everything that our founders wanted to avoid is happening now, under our noses. IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANY ONE OF US!
