Letter sent to relevant stakeholders

Writing this letter is a 4th year student  From Cape Peninsula University of technology currently doing the new qualification. I am writing on behalf of all 4th year student studying the new qualification known as Advance Diploma. 

As the new qualification student we’ve applied for funding  on funding schemes that fund student who are continuing with the studies also that were previously funded by NSFAS but we were rejected in the name of we still  undergraduates we should be funded by NSFAS that was a response from NRF, we went to SeTa they told us that their bursaries open during March ,we went back to NSFAS to enquire and were told that NSFAS only provides funding for a first qualification which in this case we already have our first qualification. While still fighting for that it happened that our institutions close because of the Pandemic. 

Last week on  Dr Blade Ndzimande’s media briefing he informed the media that  NSFAS  and Seta will be covered student with their students need. What about the students with no funding that are registered and studying but do not know what they going to do now that teaching is going to take place online. We would like our matter to also be taken into consideration as also would like to finish our academic year and graduate towards the end of the year.
