It's A Race: Spreading Awareness vs. Spreading Fire
This petition had 247 supporters
In recognition of the month of March as Fire and Burn prevention month in the Philippines, we would like to appeal for a petition to help spread awareness about the possible effects of burns, not only in the physical, but also in the psychological aspect.
Burns of the skin have different degrees, it can be a minor problem, but it can be really damaging as well depending on the situation. If it's really worse it may lead to unresolved trauma that eventually leads to depression, anxiety and the like. It may affect everyone including those in the Philippines where climate change is evident thus, resulting to El Niño.
We are asking for the support of the Department of Health (DoH) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in promoting fire and burn prevention by conducting symposiums, first aid classes, and fund raising activities to improve fire equipment, starting in public schools and secluded areas, so as to fulfill our aim to reduce the cases of burns and at the same time fire accidents.
We hope that this petition will be supported by our fellow Filipinos so that we can continue to maximize our full potential. Together let us make a change and save lives!
