Leave the Hawks alone

The Issue

Fairfield Police issued a warning on Sunday night after residents reported that hawks attacking residents.

Fairfield Police said the State of Connecticut Wildlife Division of DEEP (Department of Energy and Environmental Protection) and The United States Department of Agriculture (Wildlife Division) are looking to remove the hawk or hawks in this area of Fairfield.

These hawks are nesting and are displaying normal behavior for Hawks. An alternate solution should be considered in this circumstance. These hawks has already made their nests and should not be disturbed.

Signs should be posted warning people in the area of where the nest is and to avoid that area. We must protect our wildlife in Connecticut.
