Save Maidstone's high speed train services to St Pancras

The Kent Messenger newspaper is calling on the Department for Transport to retain the much-valued high speed services from Maidstone West to London St Pancras. Under proposals for the new rail franchise, bidders have been given the option of scrapping the popular route and replacing it with an alternative service to Abbey Wood, which will become a major Crossrail station. Hundreds of passengers use the high speed service every morning and evening to get to and from the heart of the capital in just 52 minutes. Top quality rail links are fundamental to Maidstone's economy and we hope you will join us in voicing your concern over these plans.
