It’s been a year since we launched this campaign to protect whales and dolphins from needless explosions. The Government appears to be listening – but they are not acting fast enough. Please would you use this link to help me press for action from them.
In the last twelve months thousands of you have written to members of Parliament to urge the Government to action – that is absolutely wonderful, and we are very grateful. We have been able to host some amazing events and activities to raise the profile of this terrible issue. Thank you very much indeed for your continued support. This petition with your name included will be taken to Number 10 Downing Street when we deliver it to the Prime Minister.
I was invited to meet with the Secretary of State for the Environment way back in May (read about this visit here). Despite this, we have yet to see any concrete action from the Government to stop this cruel and destructive practice. Because of this, my tireless campaign team and I will be holding an event in Parliament to show MPs why we must act urgently. We hope that more and more parliamentarians will realise that these blasts are extremely damaging and unnecessary.
It is becoming clear that there really is no excuse for these sea blasts. I do hope you can support me today; you can help by clicking this link to invite your MP to our event. We truly appreciate your efforts.
With warmest good wishes,
Joanna
