Why this petition matters

Started by MotorbikeWriter.com
The decision rejects the recommendation of the Victorian Government's own Road Safety Committee and is not grounded in science. In fact, research shows that high-visibility clothing can be less visible in some situations or could lead to "target-fixation", causing drivers to hit the wearer. Reversing this decision is not a matter of fashion, but of safety. This petition is also relevant to riders in other states which may adopt this erroneous legislation.
