Blue sky update:  News of the UN agreement requiring rich countries to halt airport expansion plans prompted me this morning to email the Tweed Airport director (scroll down), who replied about energy efficiencies.

We need YOU to help us press Mr Scanlon, the FAA, and our DC representatives to grapple fully with the climate truths and responsibilities that we are all facing.

Please SIGN and SHARE our petition. 200+ signatures in 2 days, let's get to 500!!

Dear Sean,

The nations of the world agreement to curb emissions to NetZero by 2050 requires rich countries to halt airport expansion programs, among other real steps.

Nations Agree to Curb Emissions From Flying by 2050 https://nyti.ms/3MdneQ2

Can't you see now that expanding Tweed airport is pushing our nation in the wrong direction on climate?

You and Tweed need a Plan B. It's time to scrap expansion.

We all have a role to play in climate change - aviation industries especially- and the United States has a big and pivotal role.

Your climate role is in front of you right now, Sean. You can rationalize expansion all you want, but don't delay! Right now you have a big role to play for better if you can seize it.

Thank you for listening.

Sincerely,

Matt Lieber
