Scott Morrison says he wants to reduce emissions by not increasing any cost to taxpayers. This is understandable because currently, the Coalition’s Climate Solutions Package to reduce Australia’s emissions is costing taxpayers $3.5 Billion. The current Australian carbon price is $16.10 Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs). 

The Australian Carbon Dividend Plan could be a logical step for the Coalition to implement.

Thanks so much for your prompt support in signing our petition asking that our Government introduce a carbon fee and dividend scheme.

"We must rapidly reduce emissions and use the most effective means possible, including a market-signal that makes the use of our remaining carbon budget as efficient as possible and steadily reduces our use of fossil fuels in a brisk transition to net-zero by 2050.This logically means a steady reduction in fossil fuel consumption and no new fossil fuel developments."
