Cladding crisis is a story not fully told, souls lost at Grenfell, Leaseholder misery, fear their building could be next Grenfell, mortgage denial, incompetent landlords, defective work by contractors, the merry go round of buck passing seems endless. However what has now been made very clear by Grenfell 2 inquiry which had always been suspected, is that cladding manufacturers knowingly sold flammable cladding. They fraudulently obtained fire safety certificates. Now criminal charges maybe pending and here’s to hoping they eventually come to bear, however in the meantime the building safety act is not working and if the developers landlords don’t or can’t pay to fix buildings then UK tax payers will and that is not right. 

£50bn is what it might take to pay for all the buildings to be fixed and we say take action now against the French US and Irish firms that ripped the UK firms off by selling them dangerous cladding. Cladding firms must pay first. They are the root cause of this entire cladding problem. This is not only a fight for what is fair. It’s a patriotic fight. It’s not a left wing fight or a right wing fight it’s a fight for fairness over corporate greed. These cladding manufacturers have been protected for long enough. Even Rushanara Ali was recently deposed of her building safety brief due to close ties to the cladding firms and she was supposed to have a building safety brief for the Government. We know we will win. We have been patiently waiting 7 years for the 2nd Grenfell Inquiry to conclude and now we have the chance to make the cladding firms pay. Let’s get to 100,000 signatures now.
